He was predeceased by: his stepfather Brent Newton; his grandparents, Sara Esparza and Louis Esparza; his uncle Gino Esparza; and his cousins, Starr Paul and Baby Jacob.
He is survived by: his parents, Jose Saul Escobar of Arlington, TX and Linette Marie Esparza of Festus; his wife Chrystalyne Escobar (Fitzpatrick); his children, David Prater (Kayla Woody) of Cahokia, IL, Dominic Escobar of Festus, Ian Escobar of Festus, Joseph Escobar of Festus, Aaliyah Fischer (Jacob) of Festus and Nevaeh Escobar of Festus; his brothers, Samuel Escobar (Belinda) of Festus and Nicholas Escobar of Ste Genevieve; and his grandsons, Samuel J. and Emmett J. Fischer.
