She was predeceased by: her parents, Cecil Smith and Ella Smith (Mansell); her husband Paul Frederick Carter; her siblings, Ted Smith (Aline), Dillon Smith (Maxine), Larry Smith (Betty), Charles Smith (Chuck) and Shirley Morrow (David); and her grandson Levi Carter.
She is survived by: her children, Steven Carter (Karen) of Festus, MO, Richard Carter of New Castle, IN, Tammy Head (Brian) of Festus, MO, Starla Wideman (Brian) of Festus, MO and Nicole Carter of Festus, MO; her brother Jerry Smith (Linda) of St. Louis, MO; her siblings-in-law, Bob Carter of High Ridge, MO, Laurie Smith of St. Louis, MO and Barb Robinson (Laureen Nichols) of Grey Summit, MO; and her grandchildren, Frank, Sandy, Emma, Aaron, Brianna, Jessica, Zack, Molly, Logan, Adam and Sam. She is also survived by nineteen great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends.
