She was predeceased by: her parents, James L. Mills and Hilda Mills (Harmon); her son Kenneth R. Slinkard; and her siblings, George Mills, Bill Mills, Delbert Mills and Mable Henson.

She is survived by: her husband Thomas R. Slinkard; her children, DeWayne Slinkard (Lori) of Farmington and Regina Slinkard of Patton; and her sisters, Esther Upchurch of Marquand, Bonnie Wagner of Marquand, Judith Webb of Marquand and Carol Stanfill of Marquand.
