He was predeceased by: his parents, Marshall Zimmerly and Ethel Cecilia Zimmerly; his wife Hazel "Alice" Zimmerly; his daughter Sandy Zimmerly; his brother Richard Zimmerly; and his grandchild Kimeil Burnett.
He is survived by: his children, Kim Burnett (Neil), Linda Zimmerly and Leroy Zimmerly, Jr.; his grandchildren, Royce, Tristan Burnett, Amanda Zimmerly of Festus, MO and Trey Zimmerly of Festus, MO; his siblings, Marsha Lindwedel (Wayne) of Hillsboro, MO and Charles Zimmerly (Jackie); and his friend Donald Pinckard.
