She was predeceased by: her parents, Virgil Cooksey and Edna Cooksey (DeClue); her daughter Barbara Ann Riggs; her brothers, Kenneth Cooksey and Donald Cooksey; and her grandchildren, Robert "Bobby" Nelson and Jesse Vessell.
She is survived by: her husband Norman V. Vessell of Festus; her children, Barry Vessell (Cindy) of Festus, Darrien J. Vessell of Hillsboro and Cathrine Politte of Festus; and her son-in-law Dennis Riggs of Horine. She is also survived by her fourteen grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends.
Visitation was held on Sunday, February 9th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Mahn Funeral Home Twin City Chapel (515 Collins Dr, Festus, MO 63028). A funeral service was held on Sunday, February 9th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
