He was predeceased by: his father Sylvester Paul; his sons, Richard Aaron Watson, Dion Christian Watson and Elbert Lee "Ebbie" Watson Jr.; his grandchildren, Natasha Nichole White, Richard Lee Watson and BreAnna Renee Watson; his siblings, Zelma Howard, Paul Watson and Ronald Watson; and his siblings-in-law, Bud Wallen, Linda Wilkinson Pfeifer and Ruby Arnold.

He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Watson (Gremar); his son Nick Watson (Stephanie); his daughter-in-law Tonya Watson Perkins; his grandchildren, Toni Williams (Josh), Dion Christian Watson Jr. (Mary), Jeremiah Horton, Addison Watson and Charlotte Watson; and his siblings, Debbie Wallen and Michael Watson (Pam). He is also survived by several great grandchildren children, nieces and nephews.
