It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dennis Wendell Schmitz of Festus, Missouri, born in Desoto, Missouri, who passed away on December 3, 2021, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Ferdinand Schmitz and Lillian Schmitz (McAnally); his wife Karola Schmitz (Mark); his siblings, Ferd Schmitz (Teresa), Olga Mae Brunkhorst (Paul) and Wanda Willm (Glenn); and his great grandchild Gabrielle Marie Schmitz.
He is survived by: his children, Wayne Schmitz (Denise) of Atlanta, GA, Mark Schmitz (Lynda) of Festus, MO and Monika Linderer (Dale Dunn) of Festus, MO; his grandchildren, Kristina Schmitz, Aaron Schmitz (Briar), Tyler Schmitz (Courtney), Gabrielle Schmitz, Alexandra Linderer (Cole Simoncic) and Samantha Linderer; and his great grandchildren, Greyson Schmitz, Emmett Schmitz and Olivia Schmitz. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
