He was predeceased by: his father Julius Stephen Brown; his daughter Lesley Brown; and his brother Bobby Brown. He is survived by: his mother Ruby Brown (Harper) of Potosi; his wife Janet E. Brown (Blake) of Bonne Terre; his daughter Allean Horn (Michael) of Pevely; his siblings, Daniel Brown (Darla) of St. Clair, Julius "Doody" Brown (Diane) of Park Hills, Leroy Brown (Faye) of Valles Mines, Kenny Brown (Carla) of DeSoto, Rick Brown (Judy) of Hillsboro, Pauline Harrison (Paul) of Valles Mines, Leona Skaggs (Ray) of Valles Mines and Ruby "Sissy" Brown of Potosi; his grandchildren, Madelyne Eye (Colin Osia), Austin Horn (Heather Sugars) and Brady Horn; and his great grandchild Cayden Osia. He is also survived by numerous other relatives and many dear friends.
