He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred Ruether and Marjorie Ruether; his stepfather Paul Struckhoff; and his sister Frances Ann Stapleton. He is survived by: his son Andrew Ruether; his daughter-in-law Traci Ruether; his granddaughter Luella Jean Ruether; his brother Gregory Ruether; his sister-in-law Patti Ruether; his sister Mary Werth; his brother-in-law Steve Werth; his brother Donald Struckhoff; and his siblings-in-law, Brenda Struckhoff and Dan Stapleton. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, Baue Funeral Homes does require all family members and guests to wear a mask while visiting our facilities. Social distancing is required, and guests should stay at least 6 feet apart.
In remembrance of Willie's life, the family asks that any charitable donations be made to the World Bird Sanctuary or Friends of Historic Augusta.
