He was predeceased by: his parents, Wesley Mecey and Jessaline Mecey; his wife Marian "Susie" Mecey; his sister Yvonne Easter (Bunny); and his brother-in-law Ray Boyer (Shirly).
He is survived by: his close friend Janet Stewart; his children, Melissa Koch (John) and Randy Mecey (Julie); his grandchildren, Jessica Beck (David), Nicholas Mecey, Cameron Koch, Nathan Mecey (Abby), Natalie Mecey and Nicole Mecey; his great grandchildren, Aiden, Katlyn and Alyson; his siblings, Lawrence "Feff" Mecey (Marilyn), Judy Eaker, Diana Mecey-Helms (Bob), Billy Mecey (Kim), Joe Mecey (Janet) and Hank Mecey (Mary); and his sisters-in-law, Joan Dana (Charles), Beth Lawson (Gary) and Anita Boyer-Fisher.
