He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Purvis and Evelyn Purvis (Quirk). He is survived by: his wife Lynn (Smith); his children, Kelly (Joe) and April (Chris); his granddaughters, Kayla, Savannah and Everly; and his brother Buddy (Linda). He is also survived by his many nieces and nephews.

The family welcomes donations to Circle of Concern or UMCOR as an expression of sympathy instead of flowers.
