He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Leland Yancey and Grace Strother Yancey; his significant other Dr. Joe E. Geist; his brother Wallis; his nieces, Sarah Friskey Luecke (Brad), Barbara Friskey (Dan Holland), Martha Remer (David), San Antonio and Mary Yancey Wheat (Alan); his nephew Daniel Yancey (Robyn); and his sister Elizabeth Ann Friskey (Betty).
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Ashby-Hodge Gallery of American Art or the Swinney Conservatory of Music at Central Methodist University.
