With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Marilyn Solomon of Fayette, Missouri, who passed away on October 11, 2021 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Nelson Brown and Irene Dougherty Brown; her sister Judy Eads; her niece Kelly Eads; and her aunt Lena Dougherty Foley.
She is survived by: her husband Clell Solomon; her children, Lisa Shoemaker (Jim) of Liberty, Missouri, Bradley Solomon (Sharyn) of Lawrence, Kansas and Lana Solomon of Jefferson City, Missouri.; her grandchildren, Whitney Luckenbill (Brett) of Carmel, Indiana, Regan Rockenfield (J. R.) of Kansas City, Missouri, Kylie Stricklin of Blue Springs, Missouri, Drake Detwiler (Courtney Mudd) of Columbia, Missouri and Elena Thorpe (John) of Lafayette, Colorado.; her great grandchildren, Ava, Jack Luckenbill, Henry James Rockenfield, Peter Chipman Rockenfield, Claudia Kathryn Rockenfield, Dawson Grace Stricklin, Sutton Jennings Stricklin, Bowen Paul Stricklin, Grayden Perry Stricklin, Hudson Wyatt Thorpe and Jack Henry Thorpe; and her friends, Terry Rollins, Berkley Barton and Ken Blakely. She is also survived by her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a memorial donation to First Baptist Church, Fayette, or to Hometown Homecare Hospice, 101 Furr St., Fayette.
