He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Iris Ann Brown (Vail); his children, James V. Brown of St. Louis, Lloyd Brown, Jr. (Mina) of Chesterfield, Trish Brown (Don Ciaglo) of Granite Bay, CA. and Jeanne Schober of Kirkwood; his grandchildren, April, Jim, Kathy, Joseph, Thomas James, Shelly, Tory and Darcy; his great grandchildren, Maddison, Cameryn, Samuel, Xander, Kaylyn, Ethan and Jordyn; and his sister Dorothy Salyer.
