He was predeceased by: his parents, George Arch and Mary Chastain (Morris); his wife Dorothy Jean Pierson (Engle); his son Darren Chastain; his children-in-law, Duane Jessee and Sharon Pierson; and his siblings, Logan, Arlen, James, Jackie, Lela, Patsy and Roxie.
He is survived by: his children, Melinda Jessee of Armstrong, MO, Karyn Larson (Scott) of Armstrong, MO and Howard Pierson (Candice) of Fallon, NV. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
