It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Janet Garms of Fayette, Missouri, born in Atlanta, Georgia, who passed away on November 1, 2024, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Maurice Foster and Helen Bernice Righter (Potter); her brother Pete Righter; and her stepmother Janet. She is survived by: her husband Raymond Garms of Fayette, MO; her children, Melissa Furlow of Fayette, MO and John Huster (Cheri) of Fayette, MO; her stepchildren, Michelle Huster (Irene Werdehausen) of Linn, MO and Don Garms (Joanna) of Steelville, MO; her grandchildren, Ethan, Tyler, Tanner, Blake, Chloe, Sage, Addie and Cora; and her siblings, Richard Righter of Wisconisin, Susan Anderson of Wisconisin and Dora Carry of Florida.
Visitation was held on Sunday, November 10th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the C/O Friemonth-Freese Funeral Service (174 Hwy. 5 & 240 N, Fayette, MO 65248). A memorial service was held on Sunday, November 10th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to PAWS (Pet Adoption and Welfare Service) or the Howard County Sheriff Dept.
