She was predeceased by: her parents, Benny Franklin and Louise Beach Lay; her husband Edward Carl Friedrich, Jr.; her children, Donald Wayne Friedrich and Janice Owen; her granddaughter Alyssa Owen; and her sister Ruth Innes. She is also survived by five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the First Christian Church in Fayette.
