He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, William Fay and Willie Maple Shields (Wells); his son Daryl Wayne Shields (Ryan) of North Carolina; his grandchildren, Hannah and Brandon; and his siblings, Sheryl Schaefer (Jerome) of Fayette, Denise Hubbard of Fayette, Dana Hamilton of Fayette and Delano Shields (Eva) of Boonville. He was also cherished by numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
