He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Levi and Opal Mae Mears (Wood); his brothers, Freddie Mears, Marlin Mears and Merlin Mears; and his children, Jennifer Jumps and Brian Mears.
He is survived by: his close friend Jane Nash; his sisters, Sharon Stafford and Karon Skaggs; his grandsons, Jordan Landis, Levi Landis (Helena) and Miles Jumps; and his great grandchildren, Jace Landis, Jaelyn Landis, Bailey Landis and Austill G. Landis. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.
