She is survived by: her spouse Shelby Yates, Jr.; her children, Marcus Strong, LaWanda Strong, Shelia Yates and Shelby Yates, III; her grandchildren, Tyus Strong, Tyshell Eckert, Khania Clark, Joseph Clark and Xavier Evans; her siblings, Cary Strong, Willie Strong, Melvin Strong, Allen Strong, Daisy McIntyre (Willie), Deloise Anderson, Cakreen Strong and Ella Mae Strong; her siblings-in-law, George Yates, Tyrone Yates (Michelle), Arthur Brown, Chris Yates, Mozella Williams, Emma Cook (Ray) and Darlene Higgins; and her friend Farewell. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins.
