He was predeceased by: his parents, Murlen Gilliam and Hallie Gilliam (Blair). He is survived by: his wife Mary Gilliam (Becker); his children, Tracey Shaffer (Travis), Melissa Gilliam-Kellogg (Daniel) and Michael Gilliam (Jaclyn); his grandchildren, Kaitlyn Gilliam, Baylee Hrouda (Dylan), Sidney Dugge, Jessica Dugge, Ayden Kellogg and Emily Gilliam; his great grandchild Miles Hrouda; his sisters, Sharon Kay Jones (late Gary Jones) and Sandra Fay Brame (Michael); his nephew T. J. Jones; his nieces, Kari Jones and Rebecca Jones; his mother-in-law Hazel Becker; and his siblings-in-law, Sharma Becker, Nelma Williams and Lynn Williams. He is also survived by great nephews, cousins and many good friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Von's name to St. Jude Children's Hospital or to Doe Run Memorial United Methodist Church.
