He was predeceased by: his parents, Conrad F. Detring and Grace Detring (Graham). He is survived by: his wife Alma "Jean" Detring (Haney); his brothers, Donald Detring, Robert Detring and Edgar Detring; his sons, Terry Detring (Cara) and Randy Detring (Lisa); his grandchildren, Jeremy Detring (Lindsay), Christine Laramore (Brian), Brandi Craig (Tim) and Amanda Buchanan (Jason); his great grandchildren, Logan, Bryce, Hutson Buchanan, Cale, Cora Craig, Van, Tyson Detring, Graham, Baron Laramore, Aubri and Brenna Laramore; and his close friends, Tonya Kinnard and Trena Penberthy. He is also survived by several nephews & nieces.
Memorial donations may be made to Serenity HospiceCare or Libertyville Cemetery Association. The family greatly appreciates donations made to these charities in Van G. Detring 's name.
