She was predeceased by: her parents, Marcus Ray Midyett and Lulie Ann of Steelville; her siblings, Alva Midyett Alta Davis (Georgia), Helen Midyett, Donald Midyett, Archie Midyett and Shirley Raines; and her husband Joseph Brian Gilson Sr..

She is survived by: her sister Alice Bishop (late Clifford Bishop) of Bourbon Missouri; her children, Patricia Stahl (George) of Farmington Missouri and Joseph Gilson Jr. of St. Louis Missouri; her grandchildren, Erica Stahl, Crystal Gilson, Courtney Stahl, Cassandra Stahl, George Jr. Stahl (Jennifer), Amanda Gilson and Chelsea Gilson; and her great grandchildren, Kayden, Collin, Casen, Christian (Schweiss), Aubrey (Coomer), Averey, Ashton (Blum), Brendon and Peyton (Stahl).
