He was predeceased by: his parents, Adras LaBorde and Verna LaBorde (Gauthier); and his siblings, Marilyn Willis and Michael Cook. He is survived by: his wife Wandine "Deanie" LaBorde (Shaw); his children, Emil Meyer (Stacey), Jarrod LaBorde (Michelle), Hope Wesley, Brandy Johnston (Larry), Woodrow James Denson and Steven Patrick Skierkiewicz (Trista); his stepdaughter Denise Starkey; his siblings, Veronica Gail LaBorde, Eugene "Gerry" LaBorde, Gordon LaBorde (Jeanie) and Tommy LaBorde (Karen); and his friends, Dennis Sweet and Jim Evans. He is also survived by several grandchildren; great-grandchildren.
