He was predeceased by: his parents, Lucas John and Beulah Marie Lenz (Hawthorn); his wife Emma Rosella Lenz (Winebarger); his children, Imogene Lenz and Carl Lenz; and his siblings, Floyd Lenz and Melva Moran.
He is survived by: his children, Barbara Dement (Carl), Gale Nielsen (Greg) and Michael John Lenz (Missy). He is also survived by nine grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson.
