He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Hooss and Virginia Hooss (Hasty); his wife Vickie Hooss (Shoemaker); his son Michael Gene Hooss; his grandson Jonah Hooss Huey; and his siblings, Stanley Reed Hooss and Donna Barnhill.
He is survived by: his daughters, Natasha Huey of Fredericktown and Natalie Alli (Shawn) of Belleville, IL; his grandchildren, Autumn Huey, Makinna Alli, Michael Alli and Lillian Alli; his sisters, Patricia Roach, Terri Jo Gregory and Joyce Hooss Lee; and his close friends, Bill Snider, Robert Simmons and Judy Johnson. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other friends and extended family.
