He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd Carlton Downs and Nellie Elizabeth Edwards; his sister Sandra Inman Davis; and his nephew Bobby Ragsdale. He is survived by: his wife Sandra Thompson Downs; his stepdaughter Tracey Lober (Tim); his grandson Matthew Lober (Allison); and his siblings, Patricia Ragsdale and Jimmy DeWayne Downs.
