He was predeceased by: his parents, James Curtis Elders and Wilma Juanita Hanson (Sherrill); his brother Thomas Elders; and his brother-in-law Michael Commerford. He is survived by: his sister Debra Commerford; his nieces, Michelle Vavra (Steven) and Valerie Commerford (Heather); his great-nephew Corbin Vavra; and his great-nieces, Sydney and Londyn.
