He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd Richard and Ethel Lee Cheney, Sr. (Kuda); his siblings, Floyd Richard Cheney, Jr. and Ruthie Clausen; his half-sister Myrna Woolfolk; his siblings-in-law, Jim Clausen, Clinton Winders and Deborah Sue Cheney; and his nephews, James Russell Cheney and Jonathan Andrew Gillenwater.

He is survived by: his siblings, Wayne Cheney of Vandalia, MO, Altha Gillenwater of Farber, MO and Carolyn Ford (Jimmie) of Vandalia, MO; and his half-sister Wanda Winders of Vandalia, MO. He is also survived by numerous nieces an nephews.
