He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Walter Bland and Eunice Womack Stubblefield; his wife Shirley Mae Varvel; his children, Gary Stubblefield of Farber, Marla Heaston (Billy Joe) of Farber and Karen Shonhart of Farber; his siblings, James Stubblefield (Shirley) of Auvasse and Ann Willard of Fulton; his grandchildren, Amy Horton, Jennifer Beshears (Albert), Jason Horton (Melissa), Amanda Calhoun (Jordan), Dylan Stubblefied and Cody Stubblefield; his great grandchildren, Quinlen Minor, Reid Beshears, Chase Horton, Keethan Horton and Nash Calhoun; and his siblings, Leroy Stubblefield, Bud Stubblefield and Fay Giboney.
