He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Richard Floyd Slemons and Blanche Tripp Slemons; his brother John J. Slemons; his wife Sarah Lane Hogan; his great grandchildren, Freda, Daphne Slemons, Alexander, Nathaniel Poole, Atticus, Wesley and Isaiah Beeman; and also, Mary Elizabeth Graves and Marcia Martin.
