He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Ira and Alma Ruth Morris (Boyer); his stepparents, Margo Morris and Richard Paul Patterson; his sister Joan Vernetta Giudicy (Paula Renee Patterson); his niece Abigail Lynn Patterson; and his nephew Liam Richard Julius.

He is survived by: his wife Gwendolyn Sue Upton; his children, Billy Morris (Kelly) of Fairfax and Marcie Morris of Marston; his grandchildren, Brooklynn Baughman (Josh) of Rockport, Emma Morris of Maryville, Shelbey Morris (Kayden Holecek) of Mound City, Olivia Morris of Fairfax, Piper Morris of Fairfax and Dylan Jeffords (Jetta Sillers) of Fairfax; his great grandchild Bray William Baughman; and his siblings, Roger Morris (Sharon) of Festus, Richard Patterson (Susan) of Farmington, Charlene Wilson (Brad Smythe) of Piedmont and Patti Belle Patterson of Festus.
