He is survived by: his daughter Kathryn Elsie Coffman (Coffman); his wife Carol; his son-in-law Eliott Johnson; his sister-in-law Patty Coffman (DeShazo); and his siblings, Johnnie Coffman and Sherry Breshears (Daniel Breshears). He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
