Ed Mitchell Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ed Mitchell of Fair Play, Missouri, born in Springfield, Missouri, who passed away on November 13, 2024, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Classie Gilliam (Coats) and James Gilliam; his wife Margie Mitchell; and his daughter Tammy Burks. He is survived by: his daughter Lee Ann Myers (Kelley); his grandchildren, Jake Myers and Erica Vincent; his great grandchildren, Landon and Mia; and his siblings, Barbara Mincks, Jimmy Gilliam and Tom Mitchell. He is also survived by many other relatives and friends.

Visitation was held on Sunday, November 17th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Pitts Chapel (316 E Broadway St, Bolivar, MO 65613). A graveside service was held on Monday, November 18th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Robberson Prairie Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Missouri Department of Conservation in honor of Ed.
