He was predeceased by: his parents, Berty Spain and Inez Spain (Edwards); his former wife Judy Mae Spain; and his siblings, Opal, Sylvia, Norman, Bill, Betty and June.
He is survived by: his wife Judi; his children, Dorothy Robbins (Tony), Tammy Schienle and Carl Gene Spain (Rachel Spain-Travis); his grandchildren, Melissa, Christy, Michelle, Deborah, Amber, Larry, Hazel and Mabel; and his siblings-in-law, Frank Nelson and Pat Spain. He is also survived by fifteen great-grandchildren.
