He is survived by: his children, Jessie Lara Smith of Harlingen, Texas, Mary Helen Ceceñas of Fort Worth, Irma Smith Castillo of Exeter, Missouri and Nellie Smith of Exeter, Missouri. He is also survived by ten grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
