He was predeceased by: his parents, Otis L. Matthew and Dessie Matthew (Cooper); his former wife Marlene Packwood; and his brother Eugene Matthew. He is survived by: his wife Pattie Riester; his children, Tammy Ennis (Jerry) of Exeter and Greg Matthew (Kristi) of Cassville; his grandchildren, Chase Ennis, Kaleigh Johnson (T. J. Hailey Matthew), Tyler Matthew and Garrett Matthew; his great grandchild Leighton Johnson; and his stepchildren, Becky Nye, Teresa Sanders, Ed Riester and Phil Riester. He is also survived by extended family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions have been suggested to Haven of the Ozarks or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in care of the funeral.
