It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Velma Lou Garnett of Excelsior Springs, Missouri, who passed away on March 4, 2025, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Charley Dry and Clara Dry; her husband James Garnett; her siblings, Lorene Kendall, Margaret Onley, Francis Lavender, Bud Dry, Wayne Dry and Jim Dry; and her great grandchild Tony Johnson.
She is survived by: her children, Dennis Garnett, Terry Kilgore (Gary) and Linda Bowen; her sister Kay Gordon (Bob); and her grandchildren, James Kilgore (Tammy), Jennifer Gillip (Richard), Tara Gaines (Kody), James Brown, Stephanie Crabtree and Robert Bowen.
Visitation was held on Friday, March 14th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Bross & Spidle Funeral Home (217 W Broadway Ave, Excelsior Springs, MO 64024). A funeral service was held on Friday, March 14th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
