It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Samuel Glenn Tompkins of Excelsior Springs, Missouri, who passed away on February 19, 2025, at the age of 67, leaving to mourn family and friends. Though Samuel Glenn may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Samuel Glenn touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his father Verlin Tompkins. He is survived by: his mother Frances Tompkins (Hall); his wife Carol; his children, Kara Berger (Tom), Laura Tompkins (Justin Dent), Karen Tompkins (James Wetzel), James Tompkins (Valerie Lake) and Joseph Tompkins (Ashley); his siblings, Dana Shopfner (Bruce), Philip Tompkins (Sharon) and Eric Tompkins; and his grandson Damien Tompkins.
