She was predeceased by: her parents, Norris Groves and Nina Groves (Hanks); and her siblings, Katheryn Urie and Norris Groves (Jeff). She is survived by: her husband Dennis Vernon; and her sons, Brian Vernon (Jacqueline) and Eric Vernon (Jennifer). She is also survived by four grandchildren.
