He was predeceased by: his parents, Janie Dusek (Sembera) and Vladimir Dusek Sr.. He is survived by: his wife Wanda Dusek; his children, Jeff Dusek (Megan), Kevin Dusek and Toni Glunt (Terry); his grandchildren, Danielle Glunt, Taylor, Hailey, Broc, Harlow and River Dusek; his great grandchildren, Aleah and Aniyah Emery; and his siblings, David Dusek (Sandra), Donald Dusek (Lorena), Johnny Dusek (Darlene), Janet Delatorre (Doc) and Rosie Tatum (Mike).

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to the Excelsior Springs High School baseball program in honor of Jim.
