With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ernest Smith of Excelsior Springs, Missouri, who passed away on May 19, 2023 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Theodore Smith and Anna Smith; his wife Virginia Smith; his son Anthony Smith; his daughter-in-law Jenni Smith; his daughter Sheila Bunyan; his grandchildren, Michael Smith, Shayla Hooks, Shaun Bunyan, Daniel Smith, Cedrick Bunyan, McKenna Henry and Kennedy Henry; and his siblings, Aaron Smith, Lauretta Majors and Kathy Rodriquez (Gerald Jackson). He was also cherished by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Ernie would be the smiling guy behind the face mask and chest guard.
In lieu of flowers family are suggesting memorial contributions to the Good Samaritan Center, Excelsior Springs, MO. Ernie always suggested to donate to the Good Samaritan in lieu of his birthday present yearly.
