It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Elson G Berndt of Excelsior Springs, Missouri, born in Liberty, Missouri, who passed away on April 29, 2024, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Elson Berndt and Melva Berndt (Clevenger); and his brother Robert L Berndt. He is survived by: his wife Rita L Mayes; his sons, Martin Berndt (Susan) of Kansas City and Todd Berndt (Prisilla) of Montgomery; and his sister Paulette of Excelsior Springs. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
