He was predeceased by: his parents, Benton Tarwaters and Violet Tarwaters (Smith); his daughter Shannon; and his siblings, John, Tom, Roy, Jacqueline Roe and Ethel Beal.
He is survived by: his siblings, Caroline Tarwaters, George and Joe Tarwaters; his sons, Charles Thomas and Jamey; and his pet Cujo. He is also survived by twenty-one grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
