We bid farewell to Barbara Jo O'Connor of Excelsior Springs, Missouri, born in Plattsburg, Missouri, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on June 4, 2024 at the age of 87. Barbara Jo touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. Though Barbara Jo may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Barbara Jo touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Carter and Vanetta Carter (Ransdell); her son John Daniel "Hoss" O'Connor; her brothers, John Carter and Jerry Carter; and her close friend David Graham.
She is survived by: her daughter Janice Gillispie (Roy); and her siblings, Ruth Ann Bosch (Steve) and Jim Carter. She is also survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
