He was predeceased by: his sister Flossie Walters. He is survived by: his children, Patrick O'Dell (Jacquelyn) of Tebbetts, MO and Carrie O'Dell (Jeff Boyle) of Kansas City, MO.; his grandchildren, Nicholas O'Dell (Jennifer) of Garden City, Kevin O'Dell of Columbia, MO, Matthew Penland of Baytown, TX and Megan O'Dell of Des Moines, Iowa; and his siblings, Andrew O'Dell of Excelsior Springs and Alma Grace Vick of Gladstone, MO. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, December 7th 2024 at the North New Garden Primitive Baptist Church (13030 State Hwy O, Excelsior Springs, MO 64024).
