It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mark Shults (Ewing, Missouri), born in Quincy, Illinois, who passed away on January 1, 2023, at the age of 68, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, William E. Shults and Elizabeth R. Shults (Wiseman); his siblings, Pamela Kay and Kevin Shults; his grandson Kendall Brighton; his brother-in-law Richard Houchins; his nephews, Justin, Josh Houchins and Jamie Goodwin; and his great-nephew Kristopher Shults.
He is survived by: his wife Veda Childress; his daughter Brandy Renee (Glen Batzinger) of Waynesville, MO.; his grandchildren, Kyle Shults of Fort Huachuca, AZ, Wyatt, Noah Horner of Waynesville, Zane Shults of Waynesville and Madisyn Herms (Eric) of Round Rock, TX; his great grandchild Briar Herms of Round Rock, TX; his sisters, Jeana Houchins of Ewing and Jan Geisendorfer (Buster) of Monticello; his sister-in-law Kitty Shults of Ewing; and his nieces, Billie Jo Bryan (Sean), Felicia Shults, Ashli Houchins (Harold Mitten), Nicole Goodwin, Bridget Browning (Cody) and Keli Huchteman (Corey).
The family suggests memorials be made to the Dover Cemetery Association or American Cancer Society.
