It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dorothy Joan Nelson-May of Ewing, Missouri, who passed away on April 25, 2022, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy W. Goings and Marie Kollmeyer Goings; her husband Robert C. Nelson; her sister Marilyn Watkins (Thomas); her stepchildren, Jeffery May and DeAnna Chillion (Thomas); and her granddaughter Brenda May.
She is survived by: her daughters, Patricia Hatfield (Darrell Ecton), Peggy Menear (David) and Jennifer Rottmann (John); her stepchildren, Judy Kreps (Bert), Robert E. May Jr. May (Kristi) and Russell May (Wendy); her grandchildren, Courtney Inlow (Shawn), Paul Dacon, Gera Hatfield, Jeryn Batman, Austin Batman, Sean Rottmann and Tyler Rottmann (Alex); her nephew Tommy Watkins; and her stepgrandchildren, Sarah May (Tiffany Vogler), Andrea Leone, Tracey Lewis (Marcus), Ashlyn Neisen (Dakota), Jacob May, Pamela May, Joshua May, Becky May, Michael Chillion (Abby), Gregory Chillion (Bailey) and Steven Chillion. She is also survived by five great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
The family suggests memorials be made to the Mt. Olivet Baptist Church.
