He was predeceased by: his parents, Claude Fleet and Myrtle E. Norris Van Fleet; his wife Connie Van Fleet; his sons, Carl "Butch" and David Van Fleet; his grandsons, Travis James, Zackary Van Fleet and Adam Weisenburger; his sisters, E. Luan Johnson and Evelyn Joan Waddill; and his daughter-in-law Teresa Van Fleet.
He is survived by: his former wife Caroline Van Fleet of Waukesha, WI; his children, Gary Van Fleet of Louisiana, MO, Kathy Van Fleet of Waukesha, WI, Charlotte Padbury (Kip) of Quincy, IL and Myrtle Weisenburger (Jeff) of Fowler, IL; and his siblings, George Van Fleet (Shirley) of Colmer, IL, Bonnie Maness of Tarkio, MO and Pat Cook of Plymouth, IL. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren.
