She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Isaac Dorethy and Permelia Cordell Dorethy; her husband Homer L. Vance; her grandchildren, Cheryl Dorsey (Jim) of Everton, MO and Troy Savage of Mason City; her great grandchildren, Hunter of Mason City and Ashlyn Savage of Mason City; her brother Jack Dorethy of Arkansas; her daughter Peggy Lynn Vance; and her grandson Sgt. James M. Dorsey. She was also cherished by several nieces and nephews.
